In Sanskrit, Hatha means willful or forceful. Hatha is also composed of two Bija Mantras - Ham meaning "Sun" and Tham meaning "Moon." This technique is also know as Easy Yoga, Gentle Yoga as well as the Yoga of balance and is the most preformed technique of Yoga practiced.
In Sanskrit, Hasta means "hand" and Mudra means "gesture," "seal" or "sign." Mudra is also a word that is composed of two words, Mud meaning "happiness" or "pleasure" and Dru meaning "highlight."
This practice is done with the spine in an erect but comfortable position, this is preformed so the Chakras are in aliment and the Nadis meaning "energetic pathways" not restricted, allowing for the free flow of Prana meaning "life force energy."
